Therapy for High Achievers Who Can't Switch Off

If you're ambitious, burnt out, and your self-worth is tied to achievement, you're in the right place.  I help high achievers regulate their nervous systems and shift from anxiety-driven to passion-driven work. If you're tired of burnout, constant self-doubt, and never feeling like you're doing enough, let's talk.

This is for you if...

✓ You struggle to switch off from work, even when you're "resting," your mind is still running through to-do lists and what-ifs

✓ Your self-worth feels entirely dependent on achievement, you're only as good as your last win, and it's exhausting

✓ You're experiencing burnout symptoms such as brain fog, decision fatigue, sleep issues, or just feeling empty despite your success

✓ Work has become your identity and you panic when someone asks "what do you do for fun?" because you genuinely don't know

✓ You want to work sustainably - you don't want to work less, you want to work from a place that doesn't deplete you

1

Free 15 Minute Consultation

We'll talk about what you're struggling with and whether therapy is the right fit. No pressure, no commitment- just an honest conversation about where you are and where you want to be.

2

50 minute sessions online or in-person

We'll work on:

  • Understanding why your body equates busyness with safety, and teaching it that rest is safe

  • Discovering who you are when you're not working or producing

  • Learning to make choices from clarity rather than anxiety or comparison

  • Building a relationship with work that energises you instead of depleting you

3

Build Sustainable Change

You'll develop skills that stay with you, not just coping strategies, but deep capacities for regulation, self-trust, and grounded ambition. This creates sustainable confidence because it's based on who you're becoming, not what you've achieved.

What to Expect When We Work Together

Why I Specialise in This Work

I'm Rachel Vora, a BACP-accredited therapist specialising in working with high achievers who struggle to switch off from work.

I understand the drive to succeed and the quiet toll it takes when work becomes your only source of self worth. I've seen how achievement can become a way to regulate anxiety rather than express passion. And I know how exhausting it is to feel like you're never doing enough, no matter how much you accomplish.

My approach isn't about convincing you to work less or give up your ambition. It's about helping you work from a regulated, values-led place so you can sustain what you're building without burning out in the process.

Frequently Asked Questions What happens in the free consultation? We'll spend 15 minutes discussing what you're struggling with, what you're hoping to get from therapy, and whether we're a good fit. There's no pressure to commit, it's a chance for us both to see if working together feels right. Do I have to commit to ongoing therapy? No. After the consultation, we can discuss what frequency and duration feels right for you. Some clients work with me for a few months, others for longer -it's entirely based on what you need. I have an online diary where clients book in their own appointments so you can fit therapy around your schedule. What if I'm not sure therapy is what I need? That's exactly what the free consultation is for. We can explore whether therapy, coaching, or another form of support might be more helpful. I'll be honest with you about what I think will serve you best. Is this confidential? Absolutely. Everything discussed in our sessions is confidential, following BACP ethical guidelines. The only exceptions are if there's a risk of harm to yourself or others, which I would discuss with you first. I'm really busy - can I do therapy while running a business/working full-time? Yes. Most of my clients are founders, entrepreneurs, and high achievers with demanding schedules. Sessions are designed to support your life, not add to your overwhelm. We'll work around your schedule, and the work we do will help you function more effectively, not take time away from what matters. What if I've tried therapy before and it didn't work? It's worth exploring why it didn't work. Sometimes it's about fit - not every therapist is right for every person. Sometimes it's about timing- you might not have been ready, or the approach wasn't suited to what you needed. In our consultation, we can talk about what didn't work before and whether what I offer might be different. Do you offer packages or reduced rates? I offer a reduced rate of £75 per session for full-time students. For others, sessions are £90 each. I offer a six session bundle at a discounted rate for clients who would prefer.
